Bari Nichols

Women’s MINISTRY

Bari grew up near Raleigh, North Carolina and graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1995 with a BS in Business Administration. After spending one year there on staff with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, she moved to Washington, DC, where she worked for a financial services think tank and eventually met her wonderful husband, Andrew. Since marrying him in 1999, Bari has been managing their household and caring for their four children, one of whom is now married and living in Austin, TX, while the other three happily are also members of Sterling Park Baptist.

Before coming to Sterling Park Baptist in 2020, Bari spent 17 years at Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington, DC where she would say she “grew up” as a Christian, wife, and mother. Along with loving being involved with the people of Sterling Park Baptist, Bari enjoys reading, playing outside with her family, running, and doing handstands.

Linda Sallee

Member care

Linda was born in Mississippi and moved to Virginia in 2005. She grew up in a Christian home and became a Christian at the age of 9. She joined SPBC 15 years ago. Linda attended the University of Southern Mississippi and earned a nursing degree. She has been married to Glen for 46 years, has two grown children, and has enjoyed a long career in nursing. She is mostly retired and enjoys volunteering and serving others. In her spare time Linda enjoys reading, spending time with friends and working in the yard.

Michael Collins

Technology

Michael grew up in Greenville, South Carolina. He attended Bob Jones University where he met his wife, Gracen. They moved to Northern Virginia after school and have lived in the area for 15 years. Michael and Gracen live in Reston with their three kids. They love travel and adventure, but they love living in close community with their church family and neighbors even more.

Michael became a Christian at a young age, benefiting from the faithful teaching of Christian parents, pastors, and teachers. He has also profited from the instruction of authors like Jerry Bridges, John Piper, C.S. Lewis, and A.W. Tozer.

Michael works in marketing. He enjoys family bike rides, exploring DC, and Washington Nationals baseball.
